How long have you been in business?
We have been in business for 10 years at the same address. We recently purchased an office building/warehouse in Sunrise, along I-75, and will be relocating once the build-outs are completed.
What is your primary product or service?
We have two primary divisions:
1. Satellite Communications - Handheld Satellite Phones, Mobile Satellite Terminals, Marine Satellite Terminals.
2. Security Systems - Surveillance Cameras, Biometric & Security Card Identification, Digital Media Storage, Surveillance Software, etc.
We design, engineer, sell, install and maintain products and services for each division of our company (satellite communications and security).
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The owners have engineering and technical backgrounds. Michael Vidal is an electrical engineer with a communications background. Adam Jacobs came from the aeronautical test & engineering field (for the U.S. military). In the early 1990's, Michael and Adam worked together for a company that helped pioneer the field of mobile communications on board cruise ships. A number of years later, Michael and Adam were contracted by two cruise lines to project manage the installation of their satellite communications systems and Crystal Communications was formed. Currently, Crystal Communications has engineered, installed and/or integrated hundreds of mobile satellite terminals, thousands of IP and analog security cameras and over 3.7 petabytes (3,780 terabytes) of digital media storage.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Anyone can represent manufacturers to sell equipment. Crystal Communications has the technical and engineering experience to make the equipment work with the customer's specific needs in mind.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we have two locations but plan to consolidate into one larger location that will warehouse our equipment while at the same time allowing us to have office space and a showroom - all at one centralized location.

Take the Florida Turnpike to Commercial Blvd. exit. Make a left (heading east) to the first traffic light. Make a right (heading south) and an immediate right (heading west) into our complex. Our office is towards the end of the complex, on the left. There is a green awning that says "Crystal Communications" out front.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards and have leasing terms available. We also provide payment terms for businesses that complete our credit application process.
Which areas do you service?
Our company is global. Our technicians travel to various locations around the world on a regular basis.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Michael Vidal and Adam Jacobs are the owners and run the daily operations along with their crack team of experts in the mobile satellite communications and security fields.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with after-hours support by phone 24/7.
